How Pricing Works at Self
Self lets anyone try the full product and publish for free for 7 days. Pro and Team stay intentionally affordable while covering the real costs of hosting, analytics, and infrastructure.

Pricing is one of the most important product choices we make at Self because it shapes who can use the product and how sustainably we can keep improving it.
Our first principle is simple: people should be able to experience the real product. That is why the free experience includes all core features, all templates, and full editing, without artificial limitations.
We also want people to publish before they pay. The free plan includes 7 days of publishing, so users can test their page in real situations with recruiters, hiring managers, classmates, and peers.
Analytics is included in Pro and Team because it is a higher-value layer, and it carries ongoing processing and infrastructure costs that we need to support responsibly.
Affordability still matters deeply to us. Many of our users are postgraduate students and early-career professionals, so we worked hard to keep Pro below €1 per month on the annual plan.
That does not mean Self is trying to be a charity product. Our pricing is designed to cover infrastructure and operating costs while keeping a polished, high-quality personal website within reach for as many people as possible.
The Team plan is built for small groups of around eight people who need more capacity and consistency. It gives teams a practical way to standardize beautiful personal pages, keep analytics available, and manage publishing at a predictable cost.
